Product Description

Our once-per-day chewable multivitamin is specifically formulated to help meet gastric sleeve and bypass patients’ vitamin and mineral needs.*Ultra Solo was designed especially for bariatric patients and formulated with bioavailability in mind.

Each serving contains:
•25 mg thiamin
•75 mcg (3,000 IU) vitamin D (from cholecalciferol)
•500 mcg vitamin B12 (from methylcobalamin)
•Provides a full complex of B vitamins with at least 200% DV including vitamin B1 (25 mg), vitamin B12 (500 mcg), and folic acid (800 mg)
•Includes 2 mg of copper as copper citrate which may be easier on the digestive system and may be preferred for bariatric surgery patients1
•Utilizes only water-miscible form of vitamin D to support better nutrient absorption. Some bariatric surgery patients lack the necessary fat intake or do not completely absorb dietary fat that is necessary to adequately absorb ordinary supplement forms of this fat-soluble vitamin
•Utilizes only vitamin D3, which is more bioactive and more effective than the D2 form
•Utilizes only natural source vitamin E

Being 21+ years out RNY, I had been using another company's products. Unfortunately for me, they merged with another company and are no longer offering their chewable vitamin for long-term purchase. I don't do well with capsules, so chewables are my go-to. After much research, I chose the Chewable Ultra Solo because it was also only one a day. I am very pleased with your product. My only question, since I'm still navigating your products, is this the best for me as an old RNY (79) patient?

Okay

These take some getting used to. Very chalky, rather tart (which I don't mind) and a funny after taste. It's the after taste that takes some getting used to. I'm almost through my first months worth, and the after taste still makes me cringe. I'd say they are okay though. I have no idea if they are really doing anything for me, there's no real way of testing. They are multivitamins.

Taste

The chewable is very sour in my opinion, a taste to get use to. What I do to help it I break it up and mix with water to dilute the sour taste makes it into a tolerable juice. One feedback - I recommend in creating another flavor for the chewable.

I bought one bottle of these to try before my Gastric Sleeve because it met all of my program’s requirements for vitamin intakes in a one a day. I know a lot of people say it tastes chalky. I think it tastes like a lemon/orange smarties. I let it dissolve more than chew it so it’s not terribly chalky to me! I’ve tried other vitamins that are worse so I’m happy with my purchase and will be purchasing regularly from now on!
